How to Handle Late Payments


💰 Late Payments on Hobby Market Pro

Prompt and secure payments help keep the Hobby Market Pro community running smoothly. To protect everyone on the platform:

  • Standard buyers must send full payment electronically within 1 business day of an accepted offer.
  • All-Star buyers have up to 2 business days from order confirmation to complete their payment.

⚠️ Reminder: Never ship products to a buyer unless you’ve received their full payment.




🧑‍💻 Steps to Follow if a Payment is Late

If a buyer’s payment hasn’t come through by the due date:

  1. Reach out to the other party directly
    • Message the other party through the Activity Feed and send a polite payment reminder.
    • Include all accepted payment options and any wire transfer information.

  2. Wait 24 hours for a response
    • Keep all follow-ups within the chat so there’s a clear record.

  3. File a Payment Assist request if they don’t reply
    • If there’s still no update after 24 hours, open a Payment Assist request with our team.
    • Don’t wait too long, you can file as soon as the buyer is unresponsive.




⚠️ What Happens Once a Payment Assist Request Is Filed?

When our team receives your request:

We’ll contact the buyer and require an immediate update.

If the buyer doesn’t respond within 24 hours, they’ll be flagged as non-responsive.

From there, we’ll review the transaction and may:

  • Approve cancelling the order.
  • Charge cancellation fees to the buyer.
